We have official dates for China!!
Tuesday, October 29, we received our Travel Approval from China! We also received our appointment dates for the Consulate in Guangzhou. This allowed us to book our airline tickets and start (actually) planning our trip!
Mitchell and I will arrive in Beijing on Thursday, November 26 and spend 3 days getting over jet lag, enjoying a little alone time before we will become parents of a baby again, visit and reconnect with friends in Beijing, and do a little retail therapy. :) We are excited!
Sunday, November 29, we will fly to Kunming and prepare for Priscilla's arrival on Monday. She will be brought directly to our hotel because her city is not the capital of Yunnan Province.
Friday, December 4, we will fly to Guangzhou and get ready for our US Consulate appointment on Monday morning. If everything goes as planned, we will leave China and head to Seattle to get Priscilla's passport. Why Seattle?? A couple of reasons; there is a will-call immediate travel passport office, our dear friends, Keith and Wendy, live there, the weather in Seattle is slightly better than Chicago in December (which was where we originally had planned to go). We are hoping that Priscilla's passport can be turned around crazy fast and, again if all goes well, we will fly back to Spain on Sunday, December 13.
We are beyond ecstatic that we will have our sweet little girl soon. We travel in 3 weeks. 3 weeks?! I have SO much to do before that!!!
