I've recently been turned on to Oban single malt whiskey. I had a short lived fling with bourbon during college, but after we split ways I haven't been able to drink the stuff since.

During our Andalusian vacation one of our friends brought some Oban whiskey and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was smooth and smokey. I just recently checked the price online and unfortunately it's not cheap. However, I don't think I can buy something cheaper. It's like learning to drive in a Ferrari and then trying to be satisfied commuting each day in a Toyota Corolla. Does it work fine? Yes. Is it awesome? Hell no.

Maybe I'll treat myself to a bottle for Father's Day. :)
