We are one step closer!!! After waiting 17 long days, I finally gave in and called USCIS for an update. They say the average approval time for this step is 1-2 weeks and I was starting to worry since it had been 17 days. After being on hold for 30 minutes, I finally got through and was told our application had been approved! Wihoo!! USCIS will now send our application on to the National Visa Center (NVC) for approval. We should receive an email with their approval in 1-2 weeks. Soon after that, we complete another online application and then all 3 approvals will be sent to China.

Receiving our I800 approval is the step we've been waiting for to announce publicly about Priscilla on Facebook. We had already been pre-approved to adopt in general, but with this we are approved to specifically adopt Priscilla (we had already received this from China with our LOA).

All in all, a MUCH better day than yesterday! :)
