It's Monday already? Wasn't it just Friday?
It's nearly 10:00pm, the kids are in bed and Jess is in the kitchen madly whipping up paleo desserts that she can take to bible study (they rotate bringing treats) in the morning. She's feeling the pressure because everyone knows she's grain-free and she basically has to prove to them that you can have food that doesn't taste like crap. No pressure.
Also, despite being sick, Jess pulled a late night travel planning binger last night and found us apartments for our February vacation. The kids have the week off so we're going to road trip to a few cities in Spain that are on our list that we haven't made it to yet. Staying in Spain is not my first choice but the other two options: Iceland, and Grand Canary Island were insanely expensive and booked solid by vacationing Brits, respectively. So southern Spain it is. The weather should be nice and Jess found us some really cool places to stay. Should be fun.
Like any good four year old (soon to be five year old!), Truman is agonizing over what type of birthday party he should have. He's decided he's going to have a "big kid" party like Henry and Addi and not a "little kid" party where their parents come over for dinner. Apparently now that's not cool. Jess is doing her best to reign in his wildly fluctuating expectations.
Tomorrow Adeline needs to take into school an article about a subject she knows a lot about. She chose "healthly eating" as her topic and wanted to find an article about why sugar is dangerous for our health. Here is the article she chose. Pretty cool I think.
Henry is starting to come down with something, although we're not sure what. It seems like everyone is getting sick these days. Hopefully he's able to snap out of it.
I hope everyone's having a good Monday.
Not a good picture, but this is Truman getting into bed wearing a Hulk mask. That's normal, right? :)
